Terms of Sale

Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.

We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if there is an obvious error in the price or description, if payment cannot be verified, if we cannot lawfully export to your destination, or if the order looks fraudulent.

You can buy up to five machines in one checkout. For more, contact us and we prepare one quote and invoice.

Prices are shown in US dollars in most of the world and in euro in the European Union, and include shipping to your address. Buyers in the European Union pay VAT, added at checkout. Outside the European Union, including the United States and the United Kingdom, import duties, taxes, customs charges and clearance fees are set by your country, are not included, and are paid by you, usually to the carrier before delivery.

You pay the full price at checkout by the methods the shop offers. Payment is processed by the shop's payment providers; we do not receive your full card details. A later price change does not affect an order we have already confirmed.

The Developer edition includes the machine and the open source Lucebox engine. The Business edition adds 12 months of Lucebox Engine Pro, onboarding and direct support. Engine Pro after the included period is a separate subscription with its own terms. The engine itself is licensed under the Apache License 2.0.

Every machine is assembled to order in batches and passes a 72-hour full-system test before it ships. The shipping date shown when you order is an estimate, not a guaranteed date. If a batch is delayed we tell you by email. A delay does not give rise to a claim beyond your right to cancel for a full refund before your machine ships.

Machines ship from Italy, with insurance, to the countries offered at checkout, and we email tracking on the day your machine leaves. Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the machine is delivered to you or to the person you named to receive it.

If a shipment is lost or arrives damaged, tell us within 14 days of the delivery date, or of the expected delivery date, with photos of the packaging and the machine before you unpack further. We handle the insurance claim and repair or replace the machine. We are not responsible for loss or damage reported after that window, or caused after delivery by handling, moving, storing or installing the machine.

If a delivery is refused, cannot be completed, or is returned to us because duties or taxes were not paid, we treat it as a return: the shipping and any charges incurred are deducted from the refund.

You can cancel at any time before your machine ships and receive a full refund, with no fee. Write to support@lucebox.com from the email address on your order.

You have 14 days from delivery to ask for a return. The machine must come back complete, undamaged and in its original packaging, with every accessory it shipped with. Start a return by email and wait for our return authorisation and instructions: unannounced deliveries can be refused.

Return shipping and insurance are paid by you. Outside the European Union and the United Kingdom, a restocking fee of 25% of the machine price is deducted from the refund. Import duties and taxes you paid to your own country are not refunded by us; claim them back from your customs authority.

Once the machine reaches us and passes inspection, we refund the original payment method within 10 business days. If it arrives damaged, incomplete or modified, we may reduce the refund to cover the loss, or decline the return and send the machine back to you at your cost.

If you buy as a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, your statutory rights apply on top of these terms and prevail where they differ. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason: tell us clearly by email, then send the machine back within 14 days of telling us.

No restocking fee applies. We refund everything you paid us, including the original delivery, within 14 days of your notice, and may hold the refund until the machine is back with us or you show proof of sending it. You pay the return shipping, and we deduct only for any loss in value caused by handling the machine beyond what is needed to check how it works.

In the European Union you also keep the two-year legal guarantee of conformity, on top of our warranty. In the United Kingdom you keep your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

A machine that is dead on arrival or faulty when delivered is not a return, and none of the fees above apply. Tell us within 14 days of delivery and we repair or replace it and pay the shipping both ways. After that, faults are covered by the Warranty.

A Lucebox is a high-power computer: its power supply is rated 1,000 W and it draws around 500 W under full load. You are responsible for installing and running it safely. In particular:

• use it indoors, in a dry, ventilated place, on a stable surface, away from heat sources, liquids and flammable materials;
• never block the air intakes or the exhaust at the back;
• plug it into a properly earthed wall outlet of a sound electrical installation able to carry the load, ideally through a surge protector, and do not overload shared sockets or extension leads;
• do not open the power supply, and do not modify, repair or open the electrical parts of the machine unless we have told you how;
• keep it and its cables out of reach of children and pets;
• do not use it where its failure could cause death, injury, fire, explosion, environmental damage or other serious harm, such as in medical, life-support, safety-critical, hazardous or explosive environments.

The machine is yours: you get full root access and can install any software and run any model. You are responsible for the software you install, the models you run, the data you process and how you use their output. AI models can produce wrong, incomplete or harmful output; check it before you rely on it. Keep your own backups of anything that matters: a repair or replacement can erase the drive.

You are responsible for using the machine lawfully, including the laws that apply to the models and data you run on it.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, under mandatory product liability law, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

• indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss;
• loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, savings or goodwill;
• loss or corruption of data, files, model weights, work or output, and downtime or interruption;
• loss or damage caused by use or installation that does not follow these terms, the documentation or our instructions, including inadequate ventilation, an unsuitable electrical installation, power surges or lightning;
• fire, explosion, flooding or any other emergency, and any resulting damage to people, property or the environment, unless it was caused by a defect in the machine or by our negligence;
• loss or damage caused by accidents, liquids, misuse, neglect, or by modification, opening or repair by anyone other than us;
• software, models, services, networks or accessories that we did not supply;
• loss or damage in transit that was not reported within the time set out above, or that happened after delivery;
• delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims connected to a machine, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the price you paid for that machine.

You confirm that you are not located in, and will not export or re-export the machine to, a country, region or person subject to United States, European Union or United Kingdom export restrictions or sanctions.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim in its courts.
