Privacy Policy

The machine runs your models locally. It does not send us your prompts, replies, files or models, and using it needs no account with us. The setup page sends your Wi-Fi password and administrator account from your browser to your machine over Bluetooth, not to us.

• Website analytics. Our own analytics, with no third-party analytics service, records the page path (without its query), the referring site, campaign tags, your time zone, the width of your window, time spent and how far you scroll, and clicks on the order and outbound links. Visits are counted with a hash that changes every day and cannot be followed across days. With your consent, or outside Europe where no consent is asked, a random visitor ID cookie also lets us recognise a returning visit, and a session key on links to the shop lets us connect an order to the visit that led to it. • Orders. When you buy, the shop on shop.lucebox.com, run on Shopify, collects your name, email, phone, shipping and billing address and payment. We receive the order details, not your full card number, and use them to build, ship and support your machine, handle returns and warranty, and keep the records tax law requires.
• Messages and calls. When you email us or book a call, we receive what you send: your name, email address, the time you picked and anything you write.
• Waitlist and applications. If you joined our waitlist or applied for early access, we hold the email address and the details you gave, to tell you about Lucebox.

• performing our contract with you: orders, shipping, support, returns and warranty;
• our legitimate interests: counting visits without cookies, keeping the site secure and improving it, and answering the people who contact us;
• your consent: the analytics cookie and the shop session key, which you can withdraw at any time from Cookie settings;
• legal obligations: accounting, tax and consumer law records.

We share data only with the providers that help us run Lucebox, under contracts that limit their use of it, and with authorities when the law requires it. They include:

• Shopify and its payment providers, for the shop, checkout and payments;
• shipping carriers and their customs agents, to deliver your machine;
• Render, which hosts this website and its analytics database;
• our email and calendar providers, and cal.com for booking calls;
• services the pages load content from, which see your IP address when your browser fetches it: unavatar.io for the profile pictures on the homepage and jsDelivr for the charts on the performance page.

We are a US company and our providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where the law requires it, transfers out of the EU, EEA or UK are covered by safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

• analytics detail: 180 days; visit sessions and the link between a visit and an order: 400 days; the daily hashing keys: two days;
• orders and invoices: as long as tax and accounting law requires, which can be up to ten years, and for the warranty period;
• messages and call bookings: as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-up;
• waitlist and applications: until you ask us to delete them or we stop using the list.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to support@lucebox.com; we answer within one month. In the EU, EEA and UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. Wherever you live, including in US states with privacy laws, we do not sell your personal data or share it for cross-context advertising.

We protect data with access controls and encryption in transit, and keep it only with the providers above. The site and the shop are not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
