AI today is rented. The best models live in someone else's data center, and every prompt, file and agent run passes through a meter you don't control. Prices change, models get retired, limits tighten overnight, and your data leaves your hands every time you ask a question. For one person, that's an inconvenience. For a technology that's becoming part of how all of us think and work, it's the wrong foundation.

It doesn't have to be this way. Open models are now good enough for real work, and the chips that can run them already exist. What's missing is hardware and software made for each other. The conventional wisdom is that local AI means slow, loud machines and a weekend of setup. We're proving that wrong: we choose the chips, design the machine around them, and tune the inference engine to that exact hardware, so open models run at full speed from the first boot.

We see a future where everyone has a personal superintelligence, owned by them and trained specifically for them. Using it will feel like having Wi-Fi at home: you buy a device or pay monthly, and you get your own intelligence, controlled and managed by you.

We build in the open. Our inference engine is open source under Apache 2.0, and the models we optimize are free on Hugging Face. So far, 55+ contributors have worked on the engine, and our models have been downloaded 80,000+ times by people running AI on their own hardware.

There's still a lot to build, on both the hardware and the software. We know this is a difficult mission, and a hard company to build. We're focused on it, we work hard, and we measure ourselves by results over the long term, one machine and one release at a time.
